Naysayer Paragraph going against the use of STEAM in education:
The addition of the arts into the STEM fields is a misguided effort. We have reached an age where art cannot explain the new observations in our world, and it must be left to science, technology, engineering, and math. Yo-Yo Ma, esteemed cellist and STEAM advocate, disagrees when saying, “The values behind arts integration–collaboration, flexible thinking, and disciplined imagination–lead to the capacity to innovate.” The rate of new discoveries and inventions is exponentially growing with no signs of stopping. There are innovations in all of the STEM fields, without the reliance on the arts. We improve upon what we already have created when we ameliorate our green energy methods. We push the boundaries of humanity when we have not only governments but now even private companies pushing into the vastness of space, ready to explore and research what wasn’t possible before. We fix problems previously thought unfixable when we have paraplegics that can walk again through the use of ‘mind-controlled’ implants. All of these are examples of how the sciences tell the world, ‘you ain’t seen nothing yet.’

I really like how you point out how the world is changing and it is art that is responsible for this change. I liked how you pointed out Yo Yo Ma’s stance and pointed out why you don’t agree with it. i feel like your close g paragraph was the strongest part of your blog. The way you used, “you ain’t seen nothing yet,” really demonstrates how art keeps advancing and how it is going to continue proving people wrong. Very strong blog post!
I absolutely love the information and background you give to support your claim, its very powerful and persuading.
then claim you have is very persuading and helps to convey your main idea to the reader great job pointing out how the world is changing and how art is doing this. great job using complex words and quotes!
